About

Right Brain? Left Brain?

So where do results come from?

The part of the brain that spends long hours in design meetings and in front of a screen, hammering away at detail after detail, while still remaining flexible enough to follow a flash of inspiration.

We work with you as a team to identify the overall strategy.  Once the strategy is clarified, we focus on content, design, and functionality.  With these elements in place, we develop and create the site, making necessary alterations, always tweaking and refining along the way, until the site is finished.

It usually takes a lot of coffee and wears out the seat of our pants but the final product is worth it.

Bill

Bill Jones

Bill is the happy genius of our group, the smartest programmer we have ever met, and knows every programming language currently in use plus a few yet to be discovered.  Bill reduces stress and his carbon footprint by paddling his canoe while web surfing on his smart phone.  His philosophy is: This can be automated.

Latest Techie Utterance: "My GPS can distinguish whether I am inside or outside my own front door."

Bill dreams of: A more round wheel.

What we like most about Bill:  His fascinating way of explaining things; a clearly understandable hybrid of super tech speak and contemporary cultural references.

If he couldn’t do this: "I’d invent it so I could."

Janis

Janis Neville

Janis is our resident globe trotting artist. Classically trained with a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Kentucky, she chose to experience the world abroad living several years in Japan.  A childhood tech whiz, she built her first computer from scratch, and never fails to amaze both clients and us with her unique creative gifts. Janis retools by knitting, painting and managing her 160Gig of iTunes.  Janis’s philosophy: Design is not just about making it pretty.

Favorite way to travel: Rollercoaster.

When working with Janis expect to hear: "Great idea. Let’s get knitting."

Favorite web site:  FreeRice.Com, Get smart while feeding people.

On her menagerie of cats and snakes: "If it chases mice, it’s cuddly."

Torsten

Torsten Volk

In our office we measure energy in Torsten Units.  Most days we can only achieve a fraction of a TU.  Torsten came to us from Germany via University of Maryland, earning an MBA in Strategy and International Relations.  On our team he ensures standards stay high, goals are met, and clients and staff remain happy. He employs assiduous attention to detail, unbelievable stamina and strong powers of persuasion.

Once projects are complete: Torsten will be very persuasive we celebrate with his latest find, a good Pale Ale.

On his work habits:  "I’m not a workaholic if it’s not a problem."

If he couldn’t do this: Either work for Pixar or talent scout for the Red Sox.
